A-2 patch dilemma (first world problem)

Truth be told, if I were you, I think I'd go for it, remove the older one and sew this one on top! But I can understand your dilemma, it's typically those kind of little things I can ponder for days. But if you don't wear a perfectly good jacket only because of the patch, take the jump! On the...

A-2 patch dilemma (first world problem)

I think @Big J already has enough nylon fetichism like that... (And now, that'll settle your case with Stu for good :p). As for the velcro, I wouldn't mind on a modern A-2 (you know, the baggy ones with hand warmers pockets), but on a historical contract... My brain is bleeding for only...

As far as I know, Eastman is not offering customizations anymore, only long and extra long variations.

    Favorite hair styling products: Pomade/brylcreem/etc...

As for the products already available during WW2, you can also go with Brylcreem (light hold, can be restyled anytime, neat shine) or Sweet Georgia Brown Red (medium to high hold, great shine, not easily washable).

    Eastman A-2 help

Greg, what do you mean by stiffer ? The Eastman jackets are not less stiff than Aero ones. A new Eastman will be a shiny, stiff jacket that you'll have to break in. As every horsehide jacket will be.

    Whitefeather's 30's aviator/cafe racer "Lukas" jacket

I really love it, and you're rocking it! There's not a lot of reviews for these guys online, but every time I see one, they receive only praises from their customers.

    Replica pre-war Hawaiian shirts?

@p51 HPA is offering a couple of the Sun Surf shirts for the moment, but as the other said, they are not cheap: https://www.historypreservation.com/products-page/vintage-hawaiian/ May I ask what's the difference between a pre war and a post war Aloha shirt?

A WWII vet talks about his original (untreated) Cable 27753 A-2 jacket

Amazing videos! As Worf said, he still got it. He looks and sounds as enthusiast as someone who's in his early 20's. I'll have a look at the long interview as soon as I have some times to spare.

Looking for affordable dress wrist watches

Ah, this is a mod I've been thinking about for some times now. A lot of people have done it apparently, filling the engraving and sanding everything to get a smooth result.
