    Cowboy Boots

Been reading up the last two days of posts. I have gotten two pair of true boots, one an ostrich pair of Luchessi ropers, in my regular dress shoe size. One of the smoothest, bendable shoe leathers I have ever put on my feet. Another pair of roperrs, more like a work boot, Double H with...

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

Got my eyes on these and can't seem to decide. Kinda like the look of the engineer boot, and the suede seems it would be supple, not like a cowboy boot. A frye boot, in what they call Fatigue suede. Can be dressy enough because you wont see the buckles under the slacks, but will have a more...

Chukka or Chelsea, Pebble Grain or Suede

Well Well The first pair in the previous post were sold. Wife kinda liked them,. So we went back and found a pair of Frye Phillip inside zip boots. Went up a size to 9.5 and they put an extra hole in the strap to make it more snug under the vamp. It does not really bunch like shown...

Chukka or Chelsea, Pebble Grain or Suede

Pliner, these are local and buttery smooth but in person, the tan is even lighter. I guess with age they would darken Frye Chelsea, color is called chestnut, kinda iffy on the color Meermin Chukka, again like the Frye, maybe overthinking the color? Meermin Johdpur. Darkest brown I...

Chukka or Chelsea, Pebble Grain or Suede

Ian thanks. Was wondering about why you would not choose either style. I have not had engineer boots and was looking at some suede chukkas (meermin) or even pebble grain, but saw this thread and some engineer boots, the Addison, in fatique suede and they could be had for like $80.

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

I have never worn engineer boots and i am debating on getting a pair of Frye Addison engineer boots in suede or perhaps a suede chukka or Chelsea boot. I'm very much enjoyed my cowboy boots and a pair of double H work boots that I've gotten and I'm wondering how engineer boots, and more...

Chukka or Chelsea, Pebble Grain or Suede

I have updated this thread. Looking at some Chelsea boots, chukkas and Jodphurs Some meermin chukkas in snuff suede are in my size and available on ebay much cheaper. Saw some Jodphurs and I think they might work better than some engineers. Cant seem to decide on leather, suede or pebble grain.

    Boots for heavy rain

Ok, Sperry out. Options are: 6" (easier to get in and out?) priced $119 Gumshoe (lower styling, more a shoe, not a boot, perhaps more likely to wear?) priced $109 8 inch (easier to tuck pants in, or leave tops unlaced and tuck front in, and they have an 8" with tumbled leather and padded...

    Boots for heavy rain

Peacoat and Grayland ; I'm thinking Bean is the way to go. I do like the Chesea look in the Bean but they may be loose feeling. Mocs would be susceptible to rain puddles going over the side. The three eyelet gumshoe is doable . On looks, to me it's the 6 inch or the gumshoe Does 6 or 8...

    Boots for heavy rain

Seriously looking at the 6 inch or 8 inch Bean duck boots. Chelseas or slip on, been reading that sometimes they rub on your foot since they can run a bit big. Laceups seem to help with that. Since I will be running doing errands and not hiking, I had seen these Sperry boots at a great price...

    Boots for heavy rain

Tired of wearing some Sperry topsiders in the rain only to have them sorta leak when i step in puddles. It gets maybe 3 days of snow a year here in Memphis so snow boots might be overkill. Also, the winters are mildish, we may get a cold snap where it is below freezing but most times, it is...
