You are probably allergic to that hat. Send it to me for testing, and I'll let you know if you should be wearing it.
Hope you are feeling better soon and that rest is all you need.

That's the plan, Dlaniger. I can usually push a set of tires to the 2000-2500 mile range if I rotate them every 500 or so. The last pair had 2600 on them, but they were starting to get too square and thin. Now I can ride more to keep.me sane while saving up for a new hat.

Grrrrr. So much for saving up for another hat. At $50 a tire, my new hat is going to have to wait a little longer. I am trying to decide if I want the Akubra Cattleman or the Leisure Time. Color will be in Graphite Grey as soon as I decide and get over this little setback. Too many expensive...
I am so far behind on the posts from working all weekend and over the holiday. I did catch the occasional post, and I will try to catch up. Today I will be out and about in the trusty Balmoral as temps are high and the humidity is even higher. Have a great day to all.

Sharp cheddar cheese goes great in a bowl of grits with bacon bits....vanilla ice cream goes with apple pie, peach pie, all cobblers. Pecan pie is best all by itself as long as it was made with Karo corn syrup.

Hmmm. As I just finished off the last piece of peach pie, I might have to do an apple run and make some pies later. One would think that apple pie celebration would be in the fall rather than summer.

From what I read, the first bike was rejected and scoffed at as a monstrostosity. I'm glad people persisted. If I lived in town and was able to make market trips, etc., I would love to have a vintage bike to pedal about on for errands and such.
