    John Fluevog "Brando" shoes

No, these have hoofs http://www.fluevog.com/files_2/news_120304_web.html Much more steampunk than retro tho. Weird looking things.

    Vintage Flight Suits

Your cloth suit is DEFINITELY WW2 Luftwaffe issue. Very rare to find in this condition!!! The leather one is NOT Luftwaffe though because the zipper pattern is wrong and the lapels are far too wide. Luftwaffe leather flight suits also usually had a cheesecloth tag sewn inside with the...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

The entire Thin Man series from start to finish. Great little movies, and TCM had some nice extras packaged on the DVDs

    John Fluevog "Brando" shoes

He has some interesting stuff. My significant other has a collection of 30-40 pairs of his shoes.......some are very retro looking, others, extremely avant-garde (if you've seen his "Grand Nationals" you'd know, lol).

    WWII Espionage

Slightly OT but here's a conspiracy with factual evidence to back it up http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/southamerica/brazil/4307262/Nazi-angel-of-death-Josef-Mengele-created-twin-town-in-Brazil.html

    WWII Espionage

I have read it, and it's very fanciful. He wasn't really "uncovered" because he was already being hunted by the Allies but his likely death was reported by the Russians. He was "free" from June 1945 to December 1945, a little over 6 months. When he was arrested, he turned over on all his friends...

    Normandy Then and Now

Dismantling took place at all the sites.....especially the iron/steel work and floating roadways. The sunken vessels and submerged caissons were left because they were too hard to remove. Other points that were anchored in some way were also left behind.

Thanks Lizzie, I think you're right. I was thinking 16mm that were used for "morale" or "info" films.

    8MM movie projectors

Lizzie, how about good ones for sound? Are there any good 30s-40s 8mm projectors with sound? I've seen a few from that era but don't know which are the better models/manufacturers. Thanks

Thank you, Sir. It's still a work in progress though. While I have the bronze statuette and oil-rubbed bronze lamp, I'm still looking for a bronze statue table lamp. Not pictured is the small art deco 17th century-style Italian table, which I'm re-finishing, which is what I want the table lamp...
