The shoulders and chest are just a little too wide and the sleeves are a little too short for me, or else I’d be wearing that jacket proudly.
It’s worth noting that Taubers made a lot of custom jackets, so their sizing can vary quite a bit.
Just got my 1968 unlined Bates racing shirt back from the seamstress. Zipper fixed, new elastic bands. So comfortable to wear.
I've been trading emails with the seller (original owner). He's in the process of moving but says he'll send photos of him wearing it at flat track races from the 1970s...
It would fit me. But the missing belt loops are a big issue. Plus some dope sewed down the collar ends. I know this could be fixed but repair costs can add up.

I came this close to buying the jacket pictured, but someone else bought it while the seller was sending me measurements. Hopefully, it was someone here so we can see more of it in action.
Said to be 1930s/1940s.
I’m not sure I liked the leather on the Metropolitan. Almost too soft. I’d have to handle another in person to see if the leather has similar characteristics.
