A pork shoulder roast, some chicken legs, and some sausages on the grill today....bottom pic is a bowl of tater tots smothered in homemade green chile gravy topped with shredded cheddar cheese and some of the pork shoulder.

My personal experience with the shantung Open Road has been that the brim is very easy to shape....it just won't stay that way. Get it a little bit damp, shape it how you want it, let it dry, and you're good to go.....as long as you stay inside with the air conditioning on....twenty minutes out...
Thanks guys. Joe, I think that's a pretty accurate assessment. The smallish brim (just shy of 2") had me thinking later rather than earlier 50s. The skinny tie era.
