It is normal brown FQHH.
Thanks for all the positive feedback. I think it was realy worth the effort to have Aero make a completely new jacket, instead of tapering the first one. Now all I need is a temerature drop of 15° C. :eusa_doh::eeek:
After I did send the first jacket back to Aero nearly four weeks ago, because the meassurements where wrong, today was the day that the new jacket arrived.
I only wore it for the pictures below so far, because it is almost 30° C around here at the moment and that's not exactly the weather to...
After exchanging some more emails with Amanda this will be exactly our way to proceed. We both recheck the meassurements and then Aero will make me a new jacket, that will hopefully fit better this time.
@HighandDry
Very nice jacket. That is the fit that I was expecting.
@jksu
We didn't talk about the costs of the alteration yet, but since the mistake clearly happened on Aero's side I don't think they will charge anything for it.
There is news about this jacket. I did send it back to Aero today.
Ever since I put it on for the first time I had the nagging feeling, that the jacket is to big or better said to roomy.
The 38-1711-P is supposed to be a very trim fiting jacket and the jacket I got, as beautiful as it is...
I would love to see some pics, especial when worn to see how it fits. I've got the same model 3 weeks ago and I can't shake the feeling that mine turned out a little big.
OK, I measures the jacket zipped up, lying flat on the back. The pit to pit measurement is 64 cm / 25". Isn't it a size 50 then? I guess I'll realy have to contact Amanda about it.
Hi Johannes,
as far as I understood it we took the standard size 46 jacked and added a little to the sleeves and body length. I too thought, that the jacket would fit much trimer. But I told Amanda I wanted to be able to wear a medium thick pullover or turtleneck underneath on colder days...
Today was a very nice and sunny day and my wife took some more pictures during a little walk. The jacket has been worn 2 weeks now and in the sun you can realy see the color and texture of the leather (much better then on the pictures on side one). :cool:
My 10 year old Vanson X1 in FQHH. My first real leather jacket and the jacket I wore when I met my wive. She has strictly forbidden that I ever sell that jacket. :D
My customer experience with Aero has been very good.
I ordered my jacket on the November the 7th 2011 and got it on the 16th of March 2012. That's a little more than 4 month for a costum jacket, which is very good in my eyes.
The communication with Aero / Amanda was very good as well...
@ all
Thanks for the compliments.
@Lungomare
I understand your concerns about the leather and historical accuracy, but to be honest, I never cared much for historical accuracy. :) I wanted a Jacket in an A2 design that has a less bulky cut than most A2s I've seen and I love brown FQHH...
After we sorted out all my questions about sizeing here on the Lounge and with Amanda (see here ) I ordered the 38-1711-P with the following specifications on the 7th of November 2011:
A2 38-1711-P
Size 46
Back length 26"
Sleeve length 26.5"
Made of brown F/Q horsehide
With mid brown...
