I have to start this threat with a quote from HoosierDaddy, from another threat of mine.
This jacket does not fit into the pattern of classic jackets that are normaly discussed here, because it dips into the runway fashionista phaze and it dips in deeply. :D It is still a high quality leather...
Thanks for the compliments guys. :)
I know what you mean. My largest Bellstaff is the Black Label M-Blouson in size L, which leaves plenty of room for layering, even with the zip in liner still in the jacket.
This one has the tartan liner, so I guess it could be a winter version, even if...
I think it is the summer weight, but I am not certain. It is a thinner, lighter leather then the Panther I had from them.
I agree on the sleeves, they allways have a good length, which is important to me, bcause I'm build a little bit more on the gorilla side of things and have long arms...
To break up the rutine of the usual suspects in this place, when it comes to jacket manufacturers, here are some fit pics of my newly aquired Belstaff Patterson jacket.
I didn't pay the full retail price, so the money for value diskussion I've seen here sometimes when it is up to Belstaff...
My wife calls my A2 an old men jacket. So there is no problem with you older guys wearing one, 'cause my wife said so. ;)
Generally speaking I would say, wear what you are comfortable with. If a short jacket fits your frame and you feel good, wear it.
You have to consider how bagy the Highwayman is cut. This is anything but a slim fiting jacket.
I had one in size 44 once and it fit like a bag. I'm 6'2" and had about 92 Kg weight back then with a 44" chest and I allmost drowned in it.
To get a slimer fit I would have to size down...
Whatever you do Johannes, remember that you didn't even wanted to trade this Highwayman in for pure gold. I hope that has not changed, no matter if it's Horse or Steer.
It makes little sense to ask that question now, when the jacket is not even on the way to Aero. I'm shure they will check it and inform you as soon as possible for them.
Jan ist right. When I got my first A2 38-1711 P from Aero it took me almost 3 to 4 weeks to admit to myself, that something must have gone wrong and the jacket, as much as I liked it, was not how it should have been. Only then did I meassure it and found out, that the pit to pit meassurement was...
I'm selling a Oceandrive Leather modell B22 jacket. I know it is so obsceanly modern, that this might not be the right place and some of you fellas might come close to a heart attack viewing the pictures. ;) :)
This is one of the first B22 jackets made bei ODL and the jacket retailed for...
They look a lot better on you then they do on their website. http://www.buzzricksons.com/buzz-ricksons-original-spec-chinos-p-114.html
Judging by the look when you wear them I realy like them, but seeing the pictures on the BR page makes me wonder if that realy is the same sort of pants. :)
Maybe he'll give you a discount on your jacket, now that you brought him some business. :)
Btw. the red/brown jacket looks great on you and fits like a dream. Go for it.
It's been five month now since I got this jacket and it has seen some regular wear since then. It has broken in quite nicely and the leather looks and feels amazing.
The only downside is, that it feels a little to roomy right now. I know, this is allready the 2nd 38-1711-P and this one is...
