Just had it on a Barbour jacket and never unzipped it from the bottom although the zipper wasn’t an issue to operate at all (YKK if not mistaken). On a waist length jacket can’t see why it’d be needed.
I can’t tell for sure as I never handled one of their jackets but I find the made in Pakistan hard to believe. Especially if they put that tag below inside the collar...
Yep, now that you say this I remember my jacket (October ‘19) was supposedly made out of the new stuff, which I was told was made to show wear faster. It’s a nice HH and I personally prefer it to CXL. Not lightweight at all but super easy wearing. I just can’t see how it can be vegetable tanned...
Are you sure about this? It feels very different from any other vegetable tanned leather I’ve handled. Veg tanned you can tell straight away as it’s got a certain stiffness to it and the creases are easy to set. Jerky is super soft and doesn’t have much “memory” if that makes sense. I thought it...
^jerky HH develops a nice grain and it’s super comfortable to wear, I think it deserves more attention. The only bad thing about it is that it’s got zero crispness and so creases are very hard to set (at least in the batch of seal I’ve got).
Why they went for that leather it’s difficult to comprehend but it’s not like they don’t know what nice leather is so maybe the originals came like that? Who knows...
I think a way of curing the symptoms of jacket addition is to become addicted to other items of clothing in turn. Jackets-> boots -> shirts etc and then repeat. :)
Seriously though, I’m also not interested in collecting so all my jackets that don’t get worn for a year or so I get rid of. As...
It’s my favourite Aero design. Superb and fits you very well. I had one of the Levi’s jacket and imho the leather was very similar to the oil pull HH they regularly stock. Yours in Vicenza is nicer.
^from what I’m seeing the delivery drivers take a picture of the parcel when they drop it at the front door. That should do as proof of delivery.
Ebay is a lottery for sellers... especially for private ones.
Never seen a Langlitz with such good looking leather though. Also while the design is a straight copy I don’t think anyone who goes through the Langlitz bespoke fitting process would be interested/satisfied in an OTR trim Japanese pattern. The strength of these Japanese makers isn’t the...
Badalassi comes in some nice colour variations. Btw “prugna” means plum in Italian.
edit: because my English is still sloppy after 10 yrs living in her majesty’s land
