^not the first time I heard that complaint. On the shrink-to-fit there is a practical reason why there isn’t a zipper. On the sanforized versions just tradition. 505s have got a zipper if that’s the only gripe.
Anyway, I personally don’t have any problem with buttons as it takes 2 secs more...
Imho for budget jeans the 501 shrink-to-fit are hard to beat. Not too wide, not too slim, medium rise... and the blue they fade to is quite nice.
Wranglers got that rodeo vibe plus the double felled outseam that I really can’t get to like.
^ask for the waist measurement if you haven’t done already as this type of pattern has got a massive chest-to-waist drop. The risk is ending up with a ballooning effect that I don’t find very flattering.
Thanks a lot for posting the pics. I was hoping it’d looked tighter on you. I can see the shoulders pull a little but the rest looks very good to me. I’m just 5’7” 160lbs (and ideally should be 150lbs) so I’ll likely swim in this, defo need a size down.
Can’t believe nobody picked this up yet...
That West ride was mine before I sold it to Rabbit. The quality is top notch, we are talking Real McCoy’s construction/materials level. Highly recommend ;)
Rather than focusing on one brand why not decide what kind of boot you want and take it from there? All these brands have their pros and cons. If you are into service boots don’t know if Viberg can be beaten. If you want packer boots than Viberg is out of the game... If you want engineers... go...
Would a sunburst type back be a saving type measure? You can certainly avoid to waste smaller pieces of hide but the more seams you add the more labour intensive it becomes to put the jacket together so also from that point of view is not always clear cut.
What I’m trying to say is that in some...
^only person I’ve seen filling up that triceps/pit area of Aeros is ton. It’s probably a combination of armhole size/shape and sleeve positioning. That effect was crazy on my highwayman (not premier), a bit less evident on the Hooch Hauler (which has other issues like cuffs too wide and waist...
The black HH used for my jacket (made in early 2018) was definitely chrome tanned. Plasticky finish? Yes. Thicker than Vicenza? Mmm maybe but if anything to me it felt thinner as Vicenza is more rigid. No idea which tannery it is from.
^yep those are bulky and don’t go too well with those slim jeans. I’m not a baggy cut fun myself but I reckon something as the Warehouse lot 800 would match those boots better. Or... get some sleeker engineers! :-)
Beautiful boots, the Horsebutt is great. The price of these however is increasing year on year like crazy... Only 2 years ago the Horsebutt were 300 GBP cheaper from P&L.
