If the purpose is to get a denim with a vintage feel imho un-sanforised is the way to go. Many brands sell one-washed versions so all the shrink and uncertainty that comes with it is out of the game.
I’ve tried a lot of brands from across the globe and if you want to get that vintage feel you...
LVC used different denim for different models and the selvedge ID varies. Some wider some narrower. Early models for instance don’t have any coloured line, the selvedge strip is all white.
I think the folks over at superdenim can be more helpful though.
There are details found on Kelso’s jackets (the way the side straps are folded and the black d-rings). Can’t figure out what the leather is from the German website but it’s not Liberty.
I don’t know if there is a cult for the FW mulholland in certain circles but going by the prices jackets sell for here in the classifieds, Japanese or not, a good 30% of the value is knocked off just by opening the box.
If money isn’t an issue and you want to treat your wife/fiancé/girlfriend to a perfecto style jacket these look good:

I’m not into hats but I like this profile...
I mostly follow brands or shops that interest me. It’s a good way to have all in one place.
That said, there is an increasing amount of sponsored posts from people I couldn’t care less that pop up on my page which make the whole IG thing less and less appealing to me. Only three years ago when...
^Cheers man. Yes the waist when zipped is a bit tight, not unwearable but enough to bug me. Probably an extra inch added to the waist circumference would be enough. If I ever go custom again I’ll make sure to ask that measurement. Normally is not an issue as I’m not really overweight (I still...
Rough’n’ready x Hooch hauler crossbreed in jerky HH. Fits to my taste everywhere but the waist where I wish it was a bit wider... it’s one of those measurements I’ve always failed to take into account but learnt my lesson. Will probably end up selling it at some point.
I think they both look too snug, especially the arms. Imho you’d benefit from a slightly more relaxed fit. I think you are more a standard highwayman body type than premier version.
Matching colours makes sense but same exact leather between jacket and boots imho is a bit heavy and I’d rather mix it up. I can’t see though a tan leather jacket working well with shiny black boots for instance.
Because otherwise it will “thrive” like the belts thread that was moved a couple of months ago in General Attire. This is a long-running thread please don’t make it disappear.
My brother in law works as salesman for a manufacturer of textile looms and he says the biggest markets for them are Turkey, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Turkey apparently is where the upper grade mall stuff is made whereas the other two countries they mass produce a fair share of the global...
Leather shoes/boots and yes if it rains an umbrella for me I don’t like getting wet especially when it’s cold outside (unless I’m doing any sport of course).
The fit of the model number 501-0000 (classic blue 501s shrink-to-fit 12.5oz) has hardly changed over the past 30years. Yes every 5 years or so they do some tweaks to the stitching etc but very minimal.
Levi’s 501s have never remained the same for more than 10years throughout their 150 years or...
