    The Background . . .

As I recall one photographer telling me, the camera sees everything, even if you don't. So yes, I definitely try to pay attention to the background.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I felt like that was done on purpose. As Batman, Bruce Wayne effectively becomes an entirely different person. Some portrayals of the character have gone so far as to say that Bruce Wayne died in that alleyway with his parents, leaving only a shell of a complete human being, which becomes a dark...

Vintage Outerwear: Threads of the Past

Just got this vintage (seller claimed it was made late 70s era) unissued Canadian Army surplus extreme weather parka! It didn't come with the liner, so it's more of an in-between coat. I bought it to replace my old Eddie Bauer coat, which had sadly begun coming apart after almost 15 years of...

Do You Stick to One Decade?

Definitely all over the place here. I wear clothes that range all the way from the 1930s to the early 2000s. There's a lot of different fashions in those years. Why restrict myself?

What was the last TV show you watched?

Been binging Lucifer nightly after work. Currently at the beginning of S5. It's a lot of fun, and I enjoy the deep-cut Biblical references.

Social Media for those of a certain age?

Facebook is no longer the powerhouse it once was, now mostly being home to older generations who are trying to keep track of their grandkids. No matter the platform, it seems, kids will always view something as "uncool" as soon as the older generation gets a grasp of it. The main hold that...

    Ship John

The Carhartt jacket demands a certain body type, and even then requires a baseball bat to break it in. But their quality is bar none, and are definitely a work horse jacket (or mechanic's jacket), not a fashion statement (as much as blue collar chic tries to make it one).

Let's talk about wool coats, jackets, and vests

I'm very partial to my mackinaw coat from Legendary Whitetails. Without a doubt the warmest coat I own.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I mentioned it a while back, but I finally got around to taking pictures of my vintage G1 after picking it up from the cleaners last week. I've no idea on the brand as there's no tags, but the shearling is cozy if a bit worn, and the wonderfully patinas leather is thick but buttery smooth.
