Nice, excited to see it. We still have to have that drink - I'm currently up to my eyeballs in work. You wouldn't happen to be a cabinetmaker that's looking to come out of retirement would you?
Now everybody I don't want you to get too worked up but I thought I should finally let everyone know that I'm on Ricks wait list. He will be making me a slick BRE clone and we are all very excited about it. Geez I think it's already been about a month!
The CD's are nice but I'm really not crazy about my moonstone color so it doesn't get much head time. I went to purchase a BG the other day but EA no longer has stock and I'm too impatient for that business.
Nice Jared, I had it on my watch list despite it being small for me. Campaign ribbon and what looks like a kettle curl. Hats like this are my current obsession.

Nice one Daniel. I was also in negotiations with the seller but decided to leave it. Of course followed by regret once it was sold.
I’m happy it showed up here and look forward to seeing more of it when it arrives!

I know right? If it was a size bigger I would most likely be posting once it arrived. Just trying to decide if it’s worth the ask for a hat I may not be able to wear.

Thanks for the work Bob, much appreciated. From what I found all the info ends around the 1922 date. I suppose it could have been a dry goods store with an in-house hat maker, neat stuff. I will find out tomorrow if my offer was accepted.

Yeah the straight sided dome has a ‘medium plus’ size which is 59.7 - For the hats I want it for this seems kind of perfect. Will be just a touch big and give me a bit of wiggle room for a new sweat

Wondering if anyone has come across information on ‘The Helbing Hat Co’ from San Francisco. Most of the information I found led to the owner, but it seemed it was more of a dry goods store than a hat maker. Trying to decide if I should acquire this seemingly early 1900’s western.

I have read some talk about cheaper plastic or composite hat blocks. I have a few hats I would like to reblock and wanted to give it a try before investing in vintage equipment or making my own. Does anyone have links or information about what's available? Looking for something like a 52 block...
