    thanks aLL as i've stated above, there is an UPDATE---now i've been informed by Dyer leather that Dyer will be making a new replacement jacket in thicker leather. glad to report it, and will report back once i get the replacement. :D

    cLassic footnote to a-2/g-1 history flight apparel industries produced a-2s and g-1s in hammonton new jersey...i've one of each from them...or him i say him as the owner of the co. sadly died in a plane vs. plane accident in hammonton in 1983, so nothing more was made by them after that...
