Vicenza leather in new Aero is inconsistent

A profund insult, seriously? Aren't you juuuuuuuuuust a bit overreacting, Charles? Indeed you proved L-2 existed with olive knits, no doubt about that! What about the olive linings? As for the B-10 with red knits, my bad, I totally forgot you said you handled one already... Gold fish syndrom...

Vicenza leather in new Aero is inconsistent

:D:D:D Turns out I'm still not convinced those B-10 with rust knits are historically correct, until I see a picture of an original one. Even like this, I still won't be convinced it's not a repair using old A-2 parts. Nor, for that fact, did I accuse you of being a "shameless apologist for BR"...

Vicenza leather in new Aero is inconsistent

Big J, Charles, those are good points you are making here. My point was that I still take BR's offers with a pinch of salt without hard proof that their offerings are based on real examples. Of course, Charles' post closes my concerns about the L-2A with olive knits. What a great picture, and...

Vicenza leather in new Aero is inconsistent

@Big J , first of all, please keep your feud with Butte out of our conversation, will ya? I have no interest in that. Thanks Second, I handled a couple original B-10, saw a fair deal up close too. I'm yet to see a period picture or an original jacket on sale with rust/berry knits. Indeed...

This! Also, any replica helmet will add 5km/h to your top speed!

Vicenza leather in new Aero is inconsistent

I'm sorry Big J, but BR being accurate... Well, I'm still to see an original B-10 jacket with rust knits, for example. I think their base models are pretty accurate, but they have lots of variations based only on market value, and not on historical accuracy.

New Eastman Leather Clothing "Escape" A-2

I was wrongly under the impression that they were pin-on claps like the Vietnam ones, that have to go through the material. Now that I've seen pictures of the WW2 ones, this makes way much sense!

New Eastman Leather Clothing "Escape" A-2

A bit late about this, but how do you fix a rank insigna under the collar without going through the leather on both sidesand still have it permanently attached?

New Aero Bootlegger v. 2.0 CXL Brown

A bit late too, but... WOW! I don't think a jacket could be anything more than this one! Just curious, do you have any pictures of the lining and labels?

hello all ~about eastman A2 i real need your help

The A-2 jacket is not really designed for an athletic fit, so I think it's totally normal that the jacket is feeling tight in the chest and shoulders. You should have followed Eastman's guide and gone for a 44. Now, seen your build, if you want a slender jacket, maybe you should look for another...

    Mash A-10 gloves

Sounds like a case of "been there, done that" if I ever heard one! @Alz Indeed I guess it depends on the country. These customs checks are random, I almost never got them. Except with items coming from Japan... I totally forgot about it seen it's been year since I ordered there. Let's say this...

    Mash A-10 gloves

That's a lot of good information, Charles, thank you. As for the customs taxes... Welcome to Belgium! I've never seen any other European country having so much customs fees. Oh well, anyway, I consider these an investment an hope to keep them for a long, long time indeed! I think it's worth...

    Mash A-10 gloves

Finally picked up my A-10 gloves at the post office yesterday. They are made by Mash Co. LTD in Japan. Others have pointed that Mash is doing the gloves for Eastman, and they are just relabelling them. My very first contact with them was quite disappointing as the nice post office lady advised...

A2 flight jacket Leather patch help

There's a group on FB called "Reproduction A-2 flight jacket patches", were numerous artists expose their job. Great way to check out what different people can do, and pick the one you'll like best!
