Thoughts on this Spier & Mackay suede?

I have TONS of experience buying from Spier & Mackay. All of my suits, sportscoats, dress pants, linen, khakis, winter overcoats (Polo and duffel coats) and the majority of my button down shirts are from them. So yea, they dominate my closet for sure. They are fantastic for the price and...

    Trucker suggestions

I will agree with most of the consensus here and say that a leather trucker jacket cannot be longer than your belt line. 24" probably optimal for an average height person (aka not @MrProper ). Personally, I think 23" is about right for my 5'10" frame, perhaps even as short as my vintage Lee 22"...

    Show your graining

Correct, it's a dark seal brown when new. This jacket was made in the 80s though, so it's seen a fair share of wear and tear that has led to this point.

Indiana Jones we've been waiting for

I personally feel the rise is great. Kind of that mid-high rise area of perfection. Looks the business and just how Ford wore them.

There's no such thing as "regular leather".

Johnson Crosszip in Black Overdye CXL - 42

That's what a lot of people who want to buy motorcycle jackets, yet don't ride a motorcycle don't realize. Your arms are forward when riding, so it would make sense to design a jacket around where the natural position of your forward arms do not constrict your movement and comfort on the bike...

Indiana Jones we've been waiting for

The Legacy jackets are all the same Hero cuts per each movie spec, but with the more accurate leather and hardware for each. I would say the Legacy Last Crusade is about as normal a jacket as you can get. It's pretty standard and an easy fit for most any body type. Yea, a lot of their gear...

Size 42 Bates Highwayman 1 w/ detachable fur collar and Sam Browne belt

Yea, that's my concern here as well. I'm just needing some measurements for the waist and bottom hem to see if this would in fact be able to fit me. It depends on how much adjustability that the side laces give.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

It looks really wide at the hem on you, but it's hard to tell if it's the right length for you due to your t-shirt hanging as we can't see your waist/belt line.

Indiana Jones we've been waiting for

Yea, they've had horse options available for years, but not too many people opt for that one as most Indy fans are looking for a screen accurate (or close) type of leather, which usually puts everyone in the lamb or goat categories. I myself have exclusively bought lamb from Wested (and Bill...

    Indy Jackets (Wested and Kelso)

3 excellent jackets, but that Bill Kelso is just supreme. I absolutely cherish mine, so if anyone is that size and you are looking for a jacket of this style, do yourself a favor and buy it now.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks! I wholeheartedly agree. I've probably worn my Indy jackets more than any other in the past year and a half. They are just so comfortable and easy to wear.
