Dimensional brims
I no longer own this hat but it was an unlined 1950s Flechet, similar to a Stetson Playboy, and the rear brim was about an 1/8 shorter than the rest of the brim, which I thought gave it a kind of sporty, casual look. David -

That looks great! I don’t own a Fed IV but with vintage hats my typical bash is a diamond or variation around 4 1/4 in front and 3 3/4 in back. For me that is very classic looking but perhaps not as tall as others here wear. -
