Yes, l love these. Even as a kid l wanted amazing shoes that are like works of art, but it took me 40 years to eventually achieve that dream. I feel very fortunate. I've had Vass, Edward Green and John Lobb, but none of them begin to compare to Lattanzi. Thanks for your kind words.- The Shooman

I think most people have one foot slighter shorter than the other. Here is a better photo of my monks. Funny enough, this is the exact pair from the Lattanzi website that l now own. Have wanted these for over a year. They fit good too.- The Shooman

I notice they don't display where they are made, so l suppose they are made cheaply offshore? Instead of paying 900 asd for a beaver, would it be more worthwhile to pay 400 asd for a rabbit fur fedora? OR, if it is a waste of money maybe l should go custom and get a proper fedora. My prized Silvano Lattanzi collection thus far. I will probably get a few more and then finish buying them. The comfort and style is unparalleled imo. They also use special sole and heel leather that only a few makers have access too, and the leather uppers are a special high quality leather...- The Shooman

Boater faction!
Out and about in the city. Was really in the mood for wearing the boater in the city today. Felt good wearing it, and no-one even blinked an eyelid all day. Boaters can be pulled off....i've got some middle age spread and don't give a stuff what anyone thinks of my boater, so it works for me...- The Shooman

It was a special day because I received my custom boater from Cappelleria Melegari with the black ribbon. It fits me nice and will be more versatile than my Ponte Rialto with the blue/red ribbon. It is new year's day, and waiting for guests to arrive while wearing my boater. A nautical theme of navy shirt with stark white cotton trousers and the boater. The ole Scala boater gets critiqued Here is what l found when looking online at the Scala boater. It really does cut corners and looks second rate when l look closely at it. The weave looks looser, and much more rough. A very flimsy weave. Brim does not look as thick as the proper quality...- The Shooman
