    Post New Hats Here!

Metro felt arrived yesterday. No further clues as it is missing liner and lacked any labels or tags other than the sweat. My initial thought is late 30s based on proportions, sweat, and the felt quality which is similar to a previous war nickel (edit: Huckel, woops typo) I have. Of course, could...

What hat are you waiting for today?

Hoping for a bit of age (pre-war) on this Metrofelt. Guess will have a better idea once it make its long trek to the southern hemisphere.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Beautiful hat Steve, you strike quite the regal profile with that high crown. Out of interest, how would you rate the just post-war felt compared with pre-war quality?

    German & Austrian Hutmachers

Hard acts to follow! but recent arrival - 20s/30s German Velour by what I make out as E Tescher of Freiburg, but couldn't find out much online. Age is purely guesswork, seller sold as a 20s hat, which is possible based on styling and quality of felt (very soft and 'floppish' which lends well to...

Unfortunately nothing 'in the wild' - I picked up two of Paddy's recent finds, the navy Wilkes from Stefan and a few hats from Fastuni - including his Rockel and Wilkes. Still - hope springs eternal!
