Thanks Bob, have some leads to follow-up. The Elizans mentioned something about the G. A. being dropped after G. A.s death in 1939 on liners & sweats...... so does that make this hat 30s? -

Exactly......thats what i do.....you might strike it lucky. I've found stuff on ebay through people sell stuff like ornaments and antiques and bricka brack. -

Thanks Bob, had a look, no paper label, only size tag. Just feels wright..... with all the components as you pointed out. The profile just looks like some of the Huckel hats in the German thread you posted a while back.....Hmmmm! -

Hey! Chaps, Can anyone put a date on this Dunn & Co, seller not sure, said it could be forties. The brim is 2 1/16 at front & back and 2 inches at sides. The crown is 5" open. The rim of hat is almost like a bowler but not as stiff, if you no what i mean. Here's some pics PS. I'll cry if its 30s -

cleaning vintage suits
Hi Guys, just looking for some tips on how to clean vintage suits/jackets, would appreciate some advice etc. I've had some alterations done to suit trousers and the tailor told me not to have it dry cleaned!....because it would remove all the natural oils in the fabric. Cheers Mike- michael78

Hey Guys, Here are some images of suit i acquired a couple of weeks ago, seller described it as 1930s but i've had a look at the union label and it seems to say 1939, difficult to make-out. Would that make it later? ( 40s ). The fabric is a lovely Mid to dark blue with a very faint red... -
