Picked up this rare 1930s wrap around overcoat a few days ago, i have't seen many examples of this type before.
Unfortunately there are no labels to identify brand what so ever, which is very frustrating. I do believe it is British, the fabric feels a bit ruff like worsted wool, and superbly...
Hi Steve, Here's some better pics of hat and liner, these show a more accurate colour balance.
This one was imported to Sweden for Ohrman & Melander A.B. who where based in Arboga. Do you have any idea of age?
Also no more info on the tag, just says 57 which i presume is the size.
Going to put...
Hi Chaps, found this Anton Fischer Homburg last week, fabulous quality felt, colour is greyish blue. Steve, have you any idea about this brand? i have never heard of them.
Mike
Hi Chaps, here's some pics of my first Mossant, i don't no much about this particular brand so had a chat with Stefan as to age etc, he suggested late 40s to early 50s, interestingly, the front of the brim is slightly wider than sides & back. The bow is brown which really compliment the hat...
For sale 1950s Borsalino, if any one interested, before going to ebay. Very soft felt and in nice condition. Some of the stitching around the sweatband has come away so will need to be restitched and there is a tiny mark on the bottom of brim, which is hardly noticeable.
Crown; 5" at the sides...
Acquired this Austin Reed hat a few weeks ago, extremely high quality felt, i had a chat to Stefan regarding age and possible makers, he suggested was made in Stockport, and a date of 30s. Take notice of the bow!.
Hi, Here's a pair of True Fit sandals, not sure of date, either 1940s or 50s. If any body has any information on these would be great. All leather with wooden heels, very sturdy.

Hi Chaps, here's, a Borso i acquired last week, all the way from Mexico City made for the Mexican market. I had a wee conference with Stefan about this one and conclude it might be late 30s or early 40s, the latter is more likely i think.
As you can see by the size tag it's a 57, unfortunately...
Hi Chaps here are some photos of two jackets acquired a few weeks ago, the first one is a blue herringbone tailored by Alexandre Oxford Street London. It has a Harris tweed label which i think dates it to the 1950s?, would i be correct!,
it also has 4 patch pockets.
The second one was made by...
Hello chaps, just thought i'd post some pics of this Borso Homburg i acquired a few weeks ago, i showed it to Stefan to get his opinion about it, we concluded its probably !930/20s, possibly earlier.
Steve has a Echet Borso with the same size tag on it which dates to 1929, so this hat could...
Hi anyone interested in this Borsalino, circa 1950s, i posted this in The Brotherhood a couple of weeks ago, colour is Pecan. In nice condition the only problem is some of the stitching on the sweatband has come away. Any reasonable offers accepted or trade, postage from the UK about 23 Dollars...
Hi can anyone ID this duplication label, it's on a 1930s hat, unfortunately the hat liner is missing but this label has W.H.W. New York on it.
could this be the manufacturer?
Thanks
Mike
Cheers Bud, your a star!... info extremely helpful. I have seen other hats from the 30s/40s with shorter measurements to the rear of the brim before, does it only occur on European hats? never seen it state side.
