BATTLE OF BRITAIN (1940) - Respecting THE FEW.

May I kindly suggest that Chas moves this (interesting) debate to a new thread, in order not to have this one closed down. We are still some who likes to read as much as possible on the subject Battle of Britain - and still feel we can learn something new.

Besides a good and solid suntan, meeting Andrew and Paddy, the occasional pint of Spitfire and lots of great flying (3 Hurricanes together!!!) - that's about it.:D

    Abandoned air fields in England

Thanks for sharing pictures. I've had this crazy dream to once build a home/office like a control tower - and judging from Kittys picture, somebody did just that! Wow!!!!:)

BATTLE OF BRITAIN (1940) - Respecting THE FEW.

A woman comes into a huge store. Looking for a gift for her husband, she asks in the information for gifts. The man behind the counter suggests a book. Oh no - she says - he's got one of those. Because different writers, writes differently and from different angles. Because new facts are...

    American atrocities in Normandy

You should read james Hollands: "Italys sorrow" then. Not only because its a brilliant description of a front often forgotten - also in those days. But also because it has many descriptions of the killing, stealing and worst of all - the massraping of italian girls, women and even old women...

I think we could all do without the two last statements, Chas. And who are "they" actually? As I read it, it's from a book written by the british historian Beevor.

    Oldest person you ever knew?

The oldest person I ever knew must be my grandmother (fathers side). She died when she was 93...allthough she was not that willing to let go, because - as she said: "I really want to see how it all ends!" (Like life was some TV series) She was the kindest little old lady I have ever known...

This quite sexy part is from a danish movie from 1910 - it never got censored in Denmark, but I seriously doubt it could be shown in other countries at that time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=criEcLXgUQ0

Probably yes - Spielberg hasn't called me yet.;) But I hope it will be with German and American actors. We have talked about a co-production with a German TV station.

Just mailed my manuscript for a TV drama to a production company

I am so excited! During the last couple of years I have been researching and writing on a manuscript for a TV drama - or movie. (When I wasn't writing ads, that is) The story is based upon the true story of American WWII pilot John T. Godfrey's (4th Fighter Group) escape from a POW camp in...
