Fastuni, yes, those are all decent spaced 3 buttons. the type of British 3 button that (for me) looks a bit odd is this on the left:
i still have a fondness for these jackets as they're pretty much the standard Burtons peaked lapel cut, but the lapels always look a bit too short to me...
Rudie, i don't like low button stances either, but 2 button doesn't necessarily equate to low.
have you posted your late 20s - early 30s German suit on here ?
Fastuni, for my money a lot of the 3 button European SBs also have too high a top button, leading to a strangely shortened lapel (to my eye).
that's why i prefer 2 buttons.
Baron, have you unpicked the lining and seen the canvas slashes, or can you just feel them ?
you need to speak to Qirrel about canvas modification. i understand adding drape to the pattern, but i'm unsure about the canvas (whether the canvas needs extra 'V's and whatnot).
i'm less inclined to go with the shorter jacket these days (read: as i get older).
i saw a couple of gents in 1940s British DBs at Goodwood not long ago and while they looked splendid overall i thought the rear view of the shorter jacket wasn't helping.
