Tipping the mail carrier: a thing of the past?

When I buy something at the internet there is always postage and handling on top. And I pay for that, don't know how you get around that ;) When I work I get pay. If I am good I get more pay. That's basicly how it works.

Tipping the mail carrier: a thing of the past?

But you allready pay for that "service", when you put stamps on a letter or pay for a parcel to be delivered. I don't know about the prices in US - but over here it's pretty expensive - and it's rising next year - and the "service" is dropping. But I guesse tipping is pretty widespread in US...

Tipping the mail carrier: a thing of the past?

No way!!! it's their job and they get paied for doing it. If they do it. The postal service here in Denmark is lacking everything these days. The price for sending a ordinay letter will be raised by 30% next year while they only bring out the mail every second day - so it seems. In reality...

    White RAF Roll Neck Sweaters

A 50" should be OK then. They have rather long sleeves - and if you don't fold them up, you'll be OK. I think.

what jacket you would definitely buy again and which would you avoid

I swear, I will never, ever buy another repro Irvin - of ANY kind - or any other jacket for that matter, if I manage to get hold of an original pre-war one size 8! And that's a promise!

    Your favorite movie quotes

Yossarian: Is Orr crazy? Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka: Of course he is. He has to be crazy to keep flying after all his close calls he's had. Yossarian: Why can't you ground him? Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka: I can, but first he has to ask me. Yossarian: That's all he's gotta do to be grounded? Dr. 'Doc'...

how many jackets are too many jacket

How many is too many? I guesse it must be when you forget how many you have. I just found a A2 I had forgotten all about - brings the total up to 4 A2's and one IRVIN. Plus all the other jackets and coats. But they don't count.

    White RAF Roll Neck Sweaters

I am 52 - had to go up one size, since they don't do 52. Ordere a Size 54 from Ace cafe. Fits comfortably. Not way too large and not too narrow either. But I guess it all depends on personal taste and how you like your sweaters. But if you are 50 a 54 would propably be too much.

    Flying boots

I could only wish that AERO used anothe type of sheepskin - less "standing" and more "flat and curley" types would be absolutely super!

Never for a minute thought you did, mate! Look at the number of your posts. Now back to me! Look at the number of my posts! And only 2 or 3 in the Hat section. There are plenty of other reasons for being here. Irvin jacket, aeroplanes, cars, drinks... Hope to see you there sometime :)

What old fashioned traditions do you have for Christmas???

Since we got married - and that's more than 20 years ago - we´ve bought one new decoration for the christmastree somewhere abroad. Together with some old decorations from our parents home and our grandparents home it makes a very traditional and personal christmastree. As some of you know...
