The Declining Popularity of the Necktie

As a young apprentice in a bookshop I was forced to wear dark tie and white shirt every day for three years. Couldn't wait to get away from it! Was called up to do my military service. Tie again! After that I went into advertising - and never looked back at my ties. Except once (some twenty...

    Mobile Phones?

I have a cellphone...Somewhere. I tend to forget it, when leaving the house. I tend to forget to switch it on. That's how important it is to me. But I would not live without it. It's not a camera, it's not a computer or a GPS. It's not even a radio. It's a telephone! And all though it has a...

This sort of thing makes me furious...

You are right Edward, if we talk about using material, that's no longer in use as it should be used. Or could be used. But the whole concept seems stupid. "Hey I've got this cheap watch, but the strap is made of a british revolver holster....like wow!"

Why not stamp a "R" (for Replica) underneath the AM and crown. I doubt anybody will remove the strap.

    Misconceptions of World War II

Exactly! The most common misconception narrowed down to that line. :) Seen from my part of the world it should rather be: "We would all speak russian, if it hadn't been for us" (At least for some time)

    Misconceptions of World War II

I still love Eddie Izzards version of WWII though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siBX0i1EIWk (Mind you he's british, dressed as a drag and he swears...don't say you haven't been warned.)

Rome wasn't build in a day - if you need a helping hand with the design of the book, please let me know. I would love to help you out on that. We could make the greatest - most stunning - book on Irvins the world has ever seen. Because we care about them. It's "con amore".

    What goes with your A2?

Normally I never wear a tie, but I found that a pair of sand chinos, a rawwhite shirt WITH a tie (in this case striped burgundy/sand/pale blue) goes very well with my sealbrown goat A2.

Danish movie on the resistance in WWII

I am thinking and thinking. Will let you know, if I come up with some titles. Regarding "homemade" Stenguns my father told me, that he had one during the war, but did not trust it so much. Especially not because it once emptied a magazine directly at the roof, when he banged it against a table...
