Boot recommendations sought.
I have for many years been happy with LL bean/chippewa boots (I called 'em yesterday & they said theyn still have some sizes, WTF) & their close enough models e.g.- Chippewa 20065 6 Boot Chocolate Apache & Chippewa Men's 6" Rugged Handcrafted Lace-Up Boot . A cautionary tale...
H2o under the bridge I doubt anyone could have resurrected that poor thing. I regret never having never had the chance to replace it with another Spanish Stetson, but who knows, eh? But I must say it was my first & only naptha disaster (knock wood) and I have dunked dozens.- Rick Blaine

TRUE GRIT: Miss Hailee Steinfeld's (Mattie) character's Hat
Pretty much "off the rack" Stetson Austral, I think. I wish it came in a regular Fur Felt, as it is, it seems a glorified WOOL offering. Bison is not the fiber of choice for most hatters of my acquaintance. Great film, BTW! I could not recommend it more highly, FWIW.- Rick Blaine
