I learned that the purpose (or *a* purpose) of a liner is to protect the hat from the sweat of a bald head. Westernized the religious market or the hat? It's incredible to think of that as "a Borsalino", which here in Brooklyn means a large-brimmed fedora worn by Chabad and a few other Jewish groups. (Notably, not "Chasidim" of the classic sort.) Amazing what you did with it! -
