Calling all fans of the Great Depression

Oh I wish we could do it today, and some of us do. It just seems like from a collective standpoint, the majority of our society does not do this. Neighborhoods used to be so much more community oriented. Neighbors looked out for the kids in the neighborhood, and fought crime with...

Al Sharpton called me "Dick Tracy" today...

That's a nice collection. Too bad they don't use the badge shaped ones anymore.

Calling all fans of the Great Depression

The concept of building more close-knit ties to people is actually the one big thing I'm looking forward to if a large economic crash is to occur. Our society really needs to re-build those bonds. Some change can be good.

    Stetson Sovereign (WITH PICS)

I agree with the others...hats were made to be worn. Johnny's hats, and your "new" Sovereign, have waited a long time. Now they can be appreciated.

Al Sharpton called me "Dick Tracy" today...

Actually I thought I saw a "press card" in the hatband. Did I, or am I mistaken? And if so, can we see a close up?

That's a good one! Actually, I have a large poster of Sinatra's mugshot hanging on my wall.

    Hat Sightings

I've been in college for four years (I'm finally done in December) and each year, I have noticed more and more students wearing fedoras. It's not uncommon for me to see at least a few fedoras (and a few more newsboys/ivy caps) every day.

    Radio Actor/Actress Performances

I do. I have a pretty moderate collection of Sam Spade episodes with Howard Duff. He was definitely a good Spade.

R.T., that General Electric looks real nice to me. I like the "marble look" that some tabletop bakelite radios have.

    What do you listen on?

I've been enjoying listening to old time radio shows and Glenn Miller on my 1947 RCA Victor table top radio. I got an AMT3000 transmitter not too long ago, and it really works well. There's noting of value on AM and FM channels in my area, so if it weren't for being able to broadcast my own...

    Wait Time?

That's sounds exciting. For a while now, I've been thinking my next hat from Art will be in granite. Whenever I decide is the time to get it I suppose. Do post pics when you get it, Bob.

Calling all fans of the Great Depression

I'm trying not to dwell on the possibility of another Depression. However, I have a mental race going on to finish my degree as quickly as possible (which really can't be much of a race as I'm scheduled to graduate this December and 16-week classes obviously have to take 16 weeks). I really...
