It would be impossible for me to be more satisfied with this jacket. I am a bit like Goldilocks in that I neither prefer too snug nor too loose of a fit. For me, this one nails it perfectly. A huge thanks to Carrie and the whole team at Thurston Bros as well as those here on TFL who took the...
Definitely. I know I'll be giving up some comfort, suppleness, & flexibility but its worth it to me to gain in durability and ruggedness. I'm freakishly tough on clothes and run through a Carhartt Sandstone jacket about every 4 years. I expect to rub some people here the wrong way but I fully...
That was way cool of you to post these pics on my thread. It also solidified some of my decisions...that Cordovan FQHH is really top shelf. Also, since I plan on a thicker lining, I'm not sure the Premier will work for me (helluva nice jacket thought). Thanks for sharing - JASON
That jacket is just flat-out badass.....I think I'm just going to roll with the fit as is. Thanks for the perspective, I was definitely getting a bit lost in the weeds by over examining the fit. I know it's just a jacket but it's also like 10 x more than I've ever paid for a jacket. My wife...

I would be very grateful for any help with the sizing of this Thurston Bros. fit jacket. Carrie just sent me this 1930s HB in black Vicenza on Friday; it is a modified size 42 with added length to jacket front & sleeve. I have my own thoughts on the fit but would appreciate any unvarnished...
This is an great jacket! The fit looks dead on as well. I'm looking at either the Aero 1930sHB in CXL FQHH in cordovan or possibly a Aero Dustbowl in same. This would be a one-time purchase as I cannot afford multiple jackets and would look for something to wear everyday. Any advice?
If considering your purchase through Thurston Bros., then I would consider sending all new measurements in to Carrie at their customer service and let her take it from there. Trying a fit jacket through them might be the best way to go. I would wager that the original Hercules would be similar...
