Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

First this Borsalino was on eBay as "buy now or price offer" for 69,- Euro. I offered 35,- Euro which was denied. Then the seller made it an auction and I got it for 10,50 Euro :-) It will need cleaning and blocking, but I'm sure I can bring it back to life.

German Stetson Premier "Windrose" Trilby / stingy-brim in Camel. Probably 1960's. I changed the original dark broad hat band against a brighter and thinner hat band. View also: "German Stetson hats produced under license"...

I understand. I have a few hats that have a green hue as well. Like you said, more brownish than green or sage color; they fit well in my gardrobe. Although I've lived in Bavaria for most of my life, I'm really not into local folklore in any way. No Lederhosen or Haferlschuhe, no Blasmusik or...

Interesting that they use "Garmisch" as quality designation. Garmisch is a small town in the Bavarian alps, near Germany's highest mountain, the "Zugspitze"; famous for the winter olympic games in 1936 and as ski resort. I wonder what other Bavarian town/city names they used for quality...

Well that is a fine hat for St. Patrick's Day :-) (just like Stefan, I usually don't care much for the color green)

Congrats ... not bad for only 5 Pounds. Straw Boaters are one of the hat styles I don't care for much; actually kind of strange ... cause I do love felt Pork Pies :)

    Loungers' Pets

Since I didn't have the time for long daily walks or biking (Mo-Fr), I needed a possiblity to get Jimmy really tired and exhausted within 20 minutes (before work, lunch breaks, at night). Playing ball fetch with a Chuck-It ball laucher (long distance shots) was perfect for that. Of course it...
