    Went to Eastmans yesterday and tried on their new light weight Irvin type flight jacket..marvellous..not going there though as my D-1 does the same job. Looking for an N-3B for standing still in our coldest weather.

    Travelodge and Premier Inn are OK budget hotels with Premier being the better of the two. I’m already up the Smoke (London) 15th to 17th of April for a visit. Once date agreed will attend if I can. Enjoyed the last one

    1937 & 1963 cuts as I recollect, the first high waisted with wide legs and the second much lower with slimmer legs. Nice quality at a good price point..works for me

    Recent Wested Quality?

    I had a G-1 type copied from a Star contract by Wested, I chose the goatskin from their stock and provided everything else. Turned out well apart from some ‘off’ with the pattern which meant it didn’t zip properly beyond 3/5ths of the way up..deal breaker which saw it re-homed

    Goatskin For Motorcycle Jacket

    I’ve ridden with goatskin G-1’s on and still mainly ride with leather jackets as opposed to textile. These days I wear kevlar and armour underneath. Aiming mainly at using my ELC A-2’s (HH) this summer. No falling off feedback though (thankfully).

    Jacket refurb.

    I’ve used shoe cream on my Eastman jackets to touch in colour rub off, does need reapply every now and again.
