I bought one in 2009 on a trip to Bermuda. Sold it years later for more than purchase price. The design simplicity of the RM gives it visual legs for decades to come.
true that. one can always cut the leather pulls slightly shorter, or replace them with a smaller and shorter one. personally i like the beefy pulls with the larger zippers
One of the features that I love is the big zippers. There’s confidence in using them, and in real life and taken in context of how a jacket is worn, most people don’t notice the size of the zippers.
Bfd70, looking at your pictures closer, I noticed your jacket has BOTH the side zips AND hand warmers. Cool! Now I’ll have to put this jacket on the list. The IHJ-54 seems to have everything to make it The Jacket for me. And buying from IH is the best experience—shipped from England to US in...
Here’s the Cafe version of your jacket, the IHJ-35, some months ago when it was only a day or two old (I’ll get some updates when it’s not 95 degrees out):
Damn, that looks fantastic... what a solid score. Wait until then cracks, grains and creases develop. It’s now hard for you to imagine how this Horsehide can get any softer than it already is, but the leather will feel even softer as it breaks in. It will feel like a heavy silk blanket draped on...
The Indian Ranger just landed. Apologies for the terrible lighting (will have better ones at some point).
This jacket fits me exactly how I want a crosszip to do so. The Vicenza Horsehide is exactly how I remembered... buttery but significant second skin.
This Aero D-Pocket crosszip in Vicenza horsey was mine, but sold it to a friend on here. It was so very cool.
I will be getting another crosszip (from the same friend, actually) delivered today, an Aero Indian Ranger. I’ll post that picture, as well.
Papalaka, thank you for that information. Earlier I was able to locate Snake Oil Provision’s website and obtain their measurement of this jacket in size small. Their specs are quite different from the one you gave, though. Their’s would be too big for me, while yours might be a touch too small...
What are the specs for:
shoulders (seam to seam)
Chest (pit to pit)
Sleeves (shoulder seam to cuff end)
Back length (under collar to end)
looking for a crosszip and this looks very appealing. Thx
Love this jacket but Schott fits me weird. Will you be so kind as to list the specs for:
Shoulders (seam to seam)
Chest (pit to pit)
Sleeves (shoulder seam to end cuff)
Back length (under collar to bottom)
Thank you!
