Leather jackets are all well and good, but in South Florida a denim jacket is much more handy. AC is blasting in most restaurants and stores, and if you come in there from hot and humid outdoors, you WILL catch a nasty cold. My 23-oz Wingman Sherman is just a ticket. Carry it in hand whenever I...
C'mon @tmitchell59, tell. You said you had a theory who made those 1950s Spiegels. They are rare as hen's teeth, substantial, and all around great jackets. Horsehide, too, but the horsehide tag was tiny and fell off first in most of them.
Wow. I think the only reason this wonderful jacket is still around at $550 is its small size. I hope you'll find your buyer soon. @JurassicUtility maybe?
These hues are notoriously tough to photograph accurately, and then you have display type dependency (phone, laptop, what have you). If I was to plunk down Greg Fields kind of coin on a jacket, I would not move forward without a swatch of the actual hide from which the jacket will be made.
Marc, these are absolutely sick. They were vintage the moment they were shipped if it makes any sense. And you did some additional magic on them with water spray, is that right? Incredible, in any case.
