    Anyone had trouble with jacket sizing since most makers are mail order?

    Basing a jacket on my overall height would be a no-go for me. I have a long torso and need a little extra length there. I'd have to be able to say 'look, I realize I'm 6 foot, but I have the torso of a guy that's 6'2' lol

    Freewheelers also only offer a thick(ish) wool lining w/storm cuffs. Great for cold weather, but not so great for year round. I have a couple and they are my winter jackets. Himel also offers a thicker wool lining, but you also have the option to get cotton drill, plus no storm cuffs

    Depends on the jacket. On some you sort of need a center seam there. A giant slab of plain leather doesn't always look right depending on what's going on elsewhere on the jacket.     always message them and ask them to send you the measurements of the exact item they'll be sending you. The posted measurements can sometimes be the manufacturers specs and can vary slightly
