Although you CAN shape it by hand, it will never be a smooth, clean shaping unless you have the required shaped blocks to do it on. Send it out if you can, you'll get better results
LOL I liken it to learning an instrument, a very difficult one, like the piano. Your right about the tug o war. You are close enough to watch the Ladies in Winchester work. It's worth the trip. They make those hemp bodies in 7 minutes or less. Very impressive and informative.
Yes Sir, as long as I don''t have to work on it we are good. The first couple of years I asked for "any" hats and worked into March the next year to have them presentable.
