Experience in Freewheelers leather sizing?
Something about Freewheelers not many mention is they have exceptionally high armholes. Due to that, the chest measurement doesn't tell the whole story. If you're looking at one at you think you might be cutting it close with a chest measurement that's "on-paper" a hair narrower than you'd like...- Cyber Lip

Anyone had trouble with jacket sizing since most makers are mail order?
Basing a jacket on my overall height would be a no-go for me. I have a long torso and need a little extra length there. I'd have to be able to say 'look, I realize I'm 6 foot, but I have the torso of a guy that's 6'2' lol- Cyber Lip

Tradeoffs - Himel Bros vs. Freewheelers?
Freewheelers also only offer a thick(ish) wool lining w/storm cuffs. Great for cold weather, but not so great for year round. I have a couple and they are my winter jackets. Himel also offers a thicker wool lining, but you also have the option to get cotton drill, plus no storm cuffs- Cyber Lip

Seam down the middle in the back - poll!
Depends on the jacket. On some you sort of need a center seam there. A giant slab of plain leather doesn't always look right depending on what's going on elsewhere on the jacket. I think I figured out "weird" asian sizing
always message them and ask them to send you the measurements of the exact item they'll be sending you. The posted measurements can sometimes be the manufacturers specs and can vary slightly- Cyber Lip
