I have seen both before on WWII Reenacting sites. Bottle looks good, but I was under the impression that the gum wrappers were for individual sticks of gum...not numerous sticks as it appears you have done.

My wife and I unloaded my grandparents Lane Cedar Chest a week ago and it sits at the bottom of our bed. We also got a desk and chair from the 40's, he fine china and silverware from the late 30's or early 40's. I'll add some photos soon.

When we opened ours up we found a lot of towls, table clothes etc. but in the tray attached to the lid we found my grandparents report cards, yearbooks and other school related material from the 1920's. Amazing stuff!
Ill post some pics of it when we get it home in a couple weeks.

My grandmother, who recently passed, has one of these that has the tag still inside also. My wife wants it really bad. For me the neat thing is that the date is Feb. 1940. I believe it was a wedding present for Grandpa and Grandma from their 1939 wedding.
