I see a lot of people complain that the size is not what they thought it was. They seem to be saying these hats come in a bit larger than the size they are advertised as. I take a 7 3/8 and the one above says seven and one half.
My biggest thing is, I don't want any Chinese knockoffs. I have see so many things knocked off by the Chinese it makes me sick. My main boxes to check are Made in Ecudor, and a good entry level hat that is well made.
thanks, I was looking at panama hats direct. Their hats say made with Toquilla Straw and made in Ecuador. From what I have gatherd the grade is how fine the weave is. A entry level grade from them is about 200 USD. I will check out the other site also.
I am looking for a real panama hat. Not some knock off. But also I do not have 500 to 5k to spend on one either. If that puts me out of the market let me know so I can stop looking. But that said. Is there a good place to go that is not ripping people off with fakes or sky high prices?
My wife picked this up at a garage sale. Estate sale really. I defiantly has some age to it. But I can not find anything about it. No Maker just Wonder unless that is the maker, Russian leather on the sweat band. Thanks.
I had to send back the vintage 46 Levis jacket. It was said it was a Regular but I believe it was a short. It was short in the sleeves, at 23 inches shoulder to cuff and 21 shoulder to hem. I believe that regulars should be 26 shoulder to sleeve and 25 shoulder to hem. I also felt that the 46...
So that is for later jackets, but on early 70s jackets was it still made in USA on the back tag? I know it was on late jackets that were still made in the USA but I am not sure if it was on early jackets. Thanks.
The made in USA on back tag is that I have seen many that are 70s era that did not have that on the back tag. My wife has one she bought back in the 70s that does not have made in USA on the back tag. I have seen others that have it. From what I can find on other sites it seems this is a 70s era...
Thanks, here is what I have some concern about. The stitching looks like its white, but when I look at the inside photos its orange,, and in some places on the outside its orange, such as the cuff over stitch. So I am not sure its just faded and camera wash makes it look white. The other thing...
The other jacket I bought smelled of smoke and was small for a 44. This one is marked 46, and should fit me better. It looks like a two pocket 70s jacket made in USA. Any thoughts on this one? Thanks a million for all your help.
I don't know, I bought it on ebay at a fair price, I will have to wait for it to arrive. What do you mean number on button, the front buttons that say levis has a number on them? If not then where would I look? Thanks.
