Due to an unscheduled visit to the hospital (ACS) I might be inclined to add a beard to my berets. After all, the first week is the worst in growing a beard and I was pretty much occupied with more serious matter during that time.- Kreissaege

I havent worn a beret for three month. The woolen ones are far too warm, no matter how "great" merino wool is claimed to be. And the cotton ones, soaked with sweat after half an hour and stinking, cant be washed. Waiting for autumn to arrive.- Kreissaege

Its a Citizen, ref. NY0049-09. I prefer it over the ones of Seiko because of this look, its slightly less bulky appearance and the day/date being in black. The beret is one of Daan's "specials", a Boinas Elisegui in "khaki".- Kreissaege

With these really small, skull-hugging berets, in a lightweight wool, there wont be that much shape-finding. But the bigger ones, maybealso made from a more substantial wool and - most important - with lots of "overhang" really do benefit from a fixed position. They acquire a shape and fit...- Kreissaege

In the woods with the "Alpine" from Boneteria Auloronesa. Last week, this beret drove me crazy while working in the garden: everytime I bent over and scooped up the leaves, the beret flopped forward. Chiming in as a civilian, its currently far too hot to wear a beret. My beretial comfort zone ends at 20°C and right now we are quite beyond and its humid, too. Alas, the disadvantages of summer, I will bear them. ;)- Kreissaege

On the subject of the beret's pricing. I did a quick Google search with "baseball cap nike (adidas)" and found prices in the € 30,- range. For a piece of Polyester crap, cobbled together in a southeast asian sweatshop. So these berets are still cheap enough. ;) (On a not-quite-related object...- Kreissaege
