    King of the cowboys

Ed, A beautiful baby blue chariot! :eusa_clap Hard, to think of anyone in the public eye that led such an exemplary life. May, I add my own Roy Nudie's made costume from the same period? rick

Please look at this old rocking chair

It, seems to be rooted in the Arts and Crafts period, but has elements of modernism as well. Very F.L Wright - and very cool. Love it. rick

We call them cloth awnings - for lack of a better term. One, of the painters, called them 'eyelashes'. We, found the company that had made them years ago, and had them duplicated, but, they, of course, are not close to the original 'storm shutters'. The house was built as part of the...

Cary Grant's Jacket - What Kind is it?

Uh...I don't think you have...:o No scene I show, has anything to do with the end of that film -in fact, they are all fairly early in the film. The Cary Grant film, that has a scary car sequence at the end, is an earlier one, also for Hitch and co starring Joan Fontaine - "Suspicion." rick

:( Sparse, as far as space available, is the big downer. These little houses did not plan on pack rats like us owning them. As, for your invite, the welcome mat is always out! Of course, there will be a collection box near the exit... :rage: I think, most of us here, who admire...

Thanks! I, was told that these models were used commercially in hotels and such. Not sure of the validity of that, but it does make sense to me. Also, this is the first model with an internal ringer. rick

With great pride we are pleased to share our 'money pit'!! After, having collected Art Deco treasures and classic film pieces for years, only to see them 'die' in a 1980s 3/2 ranch, we went looking for a classic Hollywood style Bungalow, and found this one. We, have now restored it, although...

Cary Grant's Jacket - What Kind is it?

Hi I was the purchaser of this coat- Thanks.;) It, is from 'TO CATCH A THIEF' (although the buttons have been changed) and one from the location shooting, in my opinion, which accounts for it's early date. The later Hollywood shoot, where they did the rear projection screen work for the ride...

    Eddie Schmidt, Hollywood's tailor.

Really great thread...I have learned more on these pages than I have gleaned in 20 years of messing with film wardrobe. :) The only thing, that I can add to the discussion, is that MacIntosh seems to have had a sweetheart deal with Paramount. Out, of about a dozen suits I have handled, all...
