I forgot one of the dumbest comments... I was at a toy shop wearing an "official" Indy costume hat (cheap, stiff and ugly). I was buying some Indy action figures... right beside me was a life-size, half-body bust of Freddy Krueger. The saleslady said we had the same hat. :mad: -

Is it possible to wear a brown Fed 4 without looking Indy?
Actually, any wide-brimmed hat would most probably be called either; Indy, cowboy, Dick Tracy, etc... A brown hat would most probably get more Indy comments. Believe me, it's better than Freddy Krueger. -
The nicest comment I ever heard
A man on an elevator commented, "Nice hat!" while I was holding it. A friend had also mentioned that the hat suits my personality. Dunno what that really meant... Perhaps because I'm an artist. The best one (for me being an Indy fan) I remember was when I was approached by a guy my age... -

...and the fact that no "real" fedoras are being sold here in the Philippines (no fur felts anyway). So a cowboy conversion may be the best way to add to my one-hat collection. :) -

hmmmm... this thread just inspired me to buy up a couple of cowboy hats that I've seen in the mall. I just wonder if they are fur or wool... All I can say about 'em is that they're really stiff and kinda thick. The felt is almost double the thickness of my Christy's. I guess I'll try to buy... -

Which Christy's felt color is the closest to the Carbon Grey of the Akubra Fed IV? I'm assuming it's Bessemer, but when I look at it, it seems too light as compared to Akubra's Carbon Grey. -
