My kids seem to like it just fine. They each have fedoras of their own. Coversation heard in the back seat between my daugheter and her friend: Friend (whispers): Why does your dad always wear hats? Daughter: Because it's cool! Plus, they can always pick me out from across the field! -

Get Capone by Jonathan Eig Good book. A lot of insight into the City of Chicago in the 20s and 30s. A lot of information on Capone's efforts to stay well dressed. In fact it seems his large amounts of cash spent on suits at Marshall Fields helped lead to his tax evasion conviction.- funneman

Nice lid! A very old friend wore hats just like that for years after he got tired of replacing his panamas. He kept forgetting them in the car. A real no-no in South Florida in the summertime. Those leather sweatbands curl up like fried bacon. It would be cool to see the finished project. -
