This is a great thread. And since it is before Post-It Notes, those certainly were pins through the brims to hold their name tag on.
Just think how we would react today if someone were to push a tack or a pin through the brim of one of our hats... People would come unglued!
Goes to show that...
Does anyone have a photo of their Bluegrass Green Cattleman?
I have one on order and have 2.5 months to go. Thought a pic might help tide me over...
I have one in the regular dark color (fawn?) and another in Sand. Something tells me the BG will end up being my favorite.
Thanks!

I'm about to pull the trigger on a bluegrass green Cattleman. Might even grab a Coober Pedy in the same color from EA since it takes 3-4 months to get one. Might as well get both, it's one of my favorite colors.

I did get rain protectors, one for each hat, and I'll take one with me when I take them camping so if I know it's gonna...
Greetings from Central Ohio!
I've recently decided to get some REAL hats after being a basic ball cap kind-of-guy. I have about 50 of those, so I've always liked hats.
I'd owned a Tilley years ago, and bought a new full-ventilated one this past summer to wear while camping, which I took up...
Scotchguard new Akubras?
I recently purchased three new Akubras. I know they are waterproofed while being made, but is it a good idea (or a bad one) to lightly spray with Scotchguard as well, as an additional measure against rain and oil spotting from handling?
One for sure will be worn in...
What about sanding it out? I've heard fine sandpaper in a counterclockwise direction works but my three hats are new (as am I to the NICE hat world) so I've never tried it yet.
