There are other threads about changing ribbons, but I thought I'd share a bit of good news here. If you are stuck finding the right formed ribbon for a well loved hat this may be worth a try:
I have a beautiful silver grey beaver Borsalino – 1930s? I think so. It’s in very fine condition...
WWII supplies - the home front
Back in the early 1960's I went to a wonderful, slightly eccentric vegetarian school. One of my fellow meat eating sufferers had an even more eccentric, not to say pessimistic grandmother who had seen WWII coming and during the late 1930's had stocked-up on vast...

Wikipedia says that the bowler was invented by Lock's of St James - a wonderful store with fantastic hats. My grandfather always wore a bowler - as a child I always thought he looked a complete prat in it!

Wouldn't that be interesting to know? This man had an understandable passion for a Borsalino Fedora or four that we know of and apparently he had the funds to go with the passion. His hat size was estimated to be old system 6 1/2 but he - or...
Here's a thing, Mr "RRH" had good taste and was a busy man at Romolo Bigotti's venice hat shop. I have one of his fabulous Borselino fedora hats from there here in Paris.
