When I make something for the first time I do a mock up using canvas, then I can make any necessary alterations etc. The fabric is cheap & so I don't care too much about the waste, as I will end up with the perfect finish. In theory. That's my tip anyway :)- Miss Dexeter

I got my hair cut in a 20s bob the other day. I love it. I have quite fine hair too, and this style is great it makes my hair look thicker. I too am not a fan of the 20s clothes, but who cares huh, noone where I live can tell that I'm mixing up my vintage styles!! I just need to know how...- Miss Dexeter

Who can't wear lipstick?
I had a great no7 red lippy. Either that or 17, from Boots (Boots fan you may have guessed!!) I don't dislkike wearing lipstick, I just get really paranoid when I wear it that it's either disappeared is a bizarre way (leaving a funny effect) or that it's moved to a place on my face it...- Miss Dexeter

Vintage eyebrow shapes
Wow! I'm so gonna try this! I've plucked my eybrows quite thin, but only one of them has a nice arch naturally (the other one is quite 'flat'!). It doesn't look odd, I just think that it does. I often say I will shave them off and just draw them on...- Miss Dexeter

Who can't wear lipstick?
Foundation I don't wear foundation as I am extremely pale and it looks a bit ridiculous. I do, however wear tinted moisturiser from Boots, in 'fair' and an almost white powder to stop my face from going all shiny, all on top of Boots shine reducing day moisturiser. Thinking about a tattoo, but is it what good girls did in the 1940's?

I agree, I have 2 full sleeves in progress as well as a few others, but don't consider myself in any way rockabilly. I love my tattoos, but I also cover them up quite often. None were done on a whim and my sleeves are most definately my pride and joy. All are based on old school designs...- Miss Dexeter
