Sorry, my camera also stopped working. Will try to post some pics soon.
I have 3 Optimos and another two made by others. The others are good and a good value, but the Optimos are flawless. IMHO
BTW that silver gray is gorgeous.
Just picked up a new C crown Milan today from Optimo. Damn they make beautiful hats.
Trying to decide if it's a blessing or a curse to live so close to the enabler of my addiction.
A little help please, I have one hat made by Parker and I am very happy with the quality and planning to get another. Was wondering if anyone has the one he calls "the gentleman". If so could you please post some pics?
Thanks Wojo
Worked my way through about 25 pages so far. I am really starting to desire one of these hats. I do agree with some posts about it taking some time to get accustomed to, coming from plain "teardrops". Those feelings will pass. @mayserwegener I must say the hat you have as your icon/avatar is...
The homburg will be the next furtherance of my newest addiction. The addition of a couple of creases or dents really change th look anf feel of the hat. In a good way. IMO
I thought I new what a 'homburg" was. I believed it to be a hat with center crease, no dents and a curled brim. After viewing the pics on this thread I'm a bit confused. A little help clearing this up for me, please!
It's supposed to be in the Monadnock Bldg. bordered by
Jackson, Dearborn, Federal and Van Buren
Will be seeing Tiffany on saturday. Will try to get details and post.
I just hit the "send" button on Paypal for a hat from Parker. My first thoughts after that was, "why isn't it here yet" and "what should the next one look like".
Funny before turning fifty I never really had a issue with delayed gratification.
Wojo
Buy a hat. Wear it and earn all those stains.
It's the same as bars and restuarants buying antique memorabilia in a attempt to give the place character. That needs to be earned, not purchased.
