I like to listen to WAVO 1150 AM in Charlotte when I'm working in the upstate, but I can't get it in the Columbia area. There are no good Big Band, Standards, or Swing stations in my area.
What are your favorite online streaming radio stations?
So there is the Filson wax, the Barbour wax, and what else? Anyone think that Sno Seal would work? Any other suggestions? I'm thinking I might give this a shot. I have two pairs of Carhartt pants that are the same age as the coat. They are too big for me now, but I might give this method a...
Will the wax soak into the wool lining?
My coat is 8 or 9 years old. It was pretty stiff originally, but it's an ol' softy now. It fits right, the pockets are right, it has the right amount of lining, but I'd like some waterproofing. I don't want to treat it with something, and it not work...
I have a Carhartt that has served me well for the past 8 or 9 years. I was thinking about getting a Filson, but it occurred to me that the only thing I don't like about my Carhartt is that it is not waterproof.
Has anyone ever successfully waterproofed a Carhartt coat? How did you do it...
Hmm... I paid about $80 for it, and thought that was high at the time. I was at that shop this weekend and they don't have that style any more.
I guess I need to hunt more.
Thanks for helping with the model name!
I really love this hat. I would like to buy the same hat in black, but I'd like to know which model it is. It is not vintage. I bought it about three years ago. It is sage green. The band is marked Royal Stetson. The crown is 4 1/8, and the brim is 2 1/4.
Can anyone identify the model?
Just finished "The Strenuous Life: Theodore Roosevelt."
Started a copy of what was supposed to be "The Divine Comedy" by Dante, and it was a textbook and not the original, so it goes back to the library.
Instead, "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley.
I must also say that the original car that is for sale at $2700 at the top is a SCREAMING good deal!
I have two project cars now, and can't justify the third or I would already own that one. An original body is worth more than the asking price in that condition.
The last car I built had over $18K in parts alone. I started with a more complete car than this one, and I drove it every day for a year before I restored it. Of course, labor is not included in that tally.
I was in the same dilemma. I looked around and found a guy that HANDMAKES wallets here in the good ol' US of by God A.
