If you can swing it and it brings you joy, DO IT! Aside from worn soles if there are no issues. They can be resold and made to look like new. Just the story alone as per BOYO, is cool enough and worth a few drinks.

Initially I would use a steamer on the shaft just at the pass through right above the heal cup and at the instep just under the strap. I use long shoe horn, and plastic bags. The struggle was definitely a lot of work but has since got easier.
Now I’m noticing less shoe horn, no steam, and a lot...
Finally sliding into these Lofgren CXL a bit easier. Never thought I’d see the day, where I wasn’t breaking a sweat trying to get them on… but here I am! I have a long road ahead but can’t wait for the patina to kick in.
