I think it looks good, as others have said, a little tight in the torso. Everything else looks pretty good honestly, length is good, sleeves, shoulders also look good. I wouldn't change the length personally, also if its comfortable to wear I think its good to go.
It would fit better if you slimmed up a little, however I would do that instead of getting the jacket first and trying to change my body to fit rather than first getting your body where you want it to be and the jackets come after. Speaking from personal experience where I bought jackets that are slightly tight and when I went on a diet, I sort of over-corrected and those slightly too small jackets are now too big and have to be sold. Really can't tell where you end up maintaining at, especially if you're making a permanent lifestyle change.
But everyone's motivations are different, if getting a nice jacket gets you motivated to fit into it, if it works it works, but I've seen too many people selling off jackets after their body shape changes/doesn't change that I let it be a cautionary tale for myself.
As it is now, I still think it looks quite good and probably looks perfect when unzipped which is how I wear my G-1 most of the time usually. I've seen G-1 in various fits, the one I like the most is the trim to body style of fit I've seen in historical photos. My G-1 is looser fitting which is nice and also comfortable but I don't think it looks as good as a trim G-1.
