That’s a nice looking jacket! Eastman are known for their high-quality products. Chest and sleeve length look fine; an extra inch in body length would be ideal, IMHO.
Picked up this government-issue USAF A-2 for under a hundred bucks on the ‘Bay. Fits great and the jacket has awesome graining and patina.
I’ve “re-purposed” it as a work/uniform jacket (I’m a licensed ship captain).
I have worked on ships, tugs, small boats, military vessels, etc, my entire life. I agree with @Will Zach and @CatsCan to go with modern technology and updated materials and designs. If you have to be out there on a small boat in cold/winter weather, safety first!
Your jacket has a little bit of an “Ike” jacket cut and vibe to it. Very dramatic! General Eisenhower and General Patton certainly wore the cropped, waist length jackets well. Wear your jacket in good health my friend.
